IONA Performing Arts Centre at Lindum will be alive with the sound of music with a cast of talented children and adults in Savoyard’s latest production of The Sound of Music from May 31 to June 15.

The performance stars Danika Saal as Maria and David Longton as Captain Georg von Trapp.

This time-honoured musical favourite is based on the autobiography of Maria von Trapp who left the convent to marry Captain von Trapp and ultimately flee to Switzerland during Nazi occupation.

There will be eight performances at Lindum with a double cast of children.

Birkdale boy Conor Leach plays Kurt in one of the casts.

Tickets are $28/$25/$16 and can be booked on 3893 4321.
