THIEVES targeted vehicles in the Redlands this week.
At least 12 car break-ins were reported to police between Wednesday, May 7, and Tuesday, May 13.
Among the vehicles broken into were three taxis parked in a carpark on Redland Bay Road, Capalaba, between 6pm on Saturday, May 10, and 5am on Sunday, May 11.
The thieves smashed their way into the taxis, but many of the other cars targeted had been left unlocked.
The most common items stolen were wallets, cash and satellite navigation units.

Alexandra Hills
* A purse was stolen from a handbag left on a shelf at a hardware shop at Alexandra Hills Shopping Centre, Finucane Road, between 9.15am on Sunday, May 4, and 8.15am on Monday, May 5.
* A wheelie bin was set on fire in Hanover Drive about 9.50pm on Thursday, May 8.
* A car parked in Windemere Road was broken into between 5pm on Thursday, May 8, and 6.30am on Friday, May 9. A window was smashed and property was stolen.
* The Mount Gravatt Church of Nazarene, Finucane Road, was broken into between 12.30pm on Monday, May 12, and 6.30am on Tuesday, May 13. Cupboards and drawers were searched but nothing was stolen.
Birkdale
* A blue Suzuki Vitara parked in Sunnybay Drive was broken into between noon on Friday, May 2, and 10.50am on Tuesday, May 6. The car’s ignition was tampered with.
* Vandals smashed the window of a house in Keppell Street about 8pm on Saturday, May 10.
* Vandals damaged decorative inserts on a rendered fence along Old Cleveland Road East between noon on Friday, May 9, and 5pm on Saturday, May 10.
Capalaba
* A property in Pinewood Street was broken into between 8pm on Tuesday, May 6, and 8am on Wednesday, May 7. Items were stolen from a shed.
* Vandals sprayed graffiti on a car parked in Killarney Crescent between 7.30pm on Wednesday, May 7, and 7.30am on Thursday, May 8.
* The lid of a wheelie bin was blown off in Elmhurst Street about 9pm on Wednesday, May 7.
* A Toyota Rav4 (registration number 853 IZZ) was reportedly stolen from Mount Cotton Road between 9am and 10.40am on Friday, May 9. It was returned by 11am after being involved in a car crash.
* Three taxis parked in a carpark on Redland Bay Road were broken into between 6pm on Saturday, May 10, and 5am on Sunday, May 11. Nothing was stolen.
* A house in Dale Street was broken into between 8pm on Saturday, May 10, and 6am on Sunday, May 11. A computer was stolen.
Cleveland
* A pharmacy in Shore Street was broken into between 5.20am and 5.34am on Wednesday, May 7. Medication was stolen.
* Vandals smashed a window at a radiology clinic in Bloomfield Street between 8pm on Friday, May 9, and 9am on Saturday, May 10.
* Vandals smashed a window and damaged a letterbox at a dry cleaner in Waterloo Street between 8pm on Friday, May 9, and 9am on Saturday, May 10.
* Vandals broke the window of the Colour Wheel Cafe between 4pm on Saturday, May 10, and 9am on Monday, May 12.
* Fishing rods and reels were stolen from a boat moored at a pontoon behind Pinnacle Close between 11.30pm on Saturday, May 10, and 7.30am on Sunday, May 11.
* Wiring was stolen from a crane at a construction site in Middle Street between 2pm on Friday, May 2, and 2pm on Friday, May 9. Copper piping was also stolen from the site.
* Water coolers were stolen from a construction site on the corner of Fitzroy and Shore streets between noon on April 25 and 9.30am on Monday, May 12.
Mount Cotton
* A convenience store in Valley Way was broken into about 10pm on Tuesday, May 6. Soft drinks and chocolates were stolen. A group of youths was seen leaving the scene in a car.
Ormiston
* A house in Wellington Street was vandalised between 6pm on Wednesday, May 7, and 5.45am on Thursday, May 8. A bag rack was thrown over the veranda, smashing a window.
* A house in Reed Street was broken into between Saturday, May 3, and Monday, May 5. A high definition set-top box, two DVD players and a calculator were stolen.
Redland Bay
* A Toyota Hi-Lux in Fleay Street was broken into between 8pm on Monday, May 5, and 4am on Tuesday, May 6. A wallet and clothes were stolen.
* A Nissan patrol in Keirnan Street was broken into between 5pm on Monday, May 5, and 4.50am on Tuesday, May 6. A Navman GPS was stolen.
* A car in Fleay Street was broken into between 5pm on Monday, May 5, and 5am on Tuesday, May 6. A laptop computer and digital camera were stolen.
* A purse was stolen from the front seat of an unlocked car in Redland Bay Road about 6.30pm on Thursday, May 1.
* A house in Mathison Court was broken into between 10.45am and 6pm on Sunday, May 11. Cash, iPods, a mobile phone and alcohol were stolen.
Russell Island
* Petrol was stolen from three cars parked at the jetty carpark between 6am on Wednesday, May 7, and 6pm on Saturday, May 10.
* Three security cameras were stolen from a house in Falconhurst Road between 3am and 4am on Saturday, May 10.
Thorneside
* A large box containing garden products was stolen from a yellow Mitsubishi truck in Railway Parade between 6.30am on Saturday, May 3, and 6.30am on Sunday, May 4.
* A property in Madelin Court was broken into about 6pm on Wednesday, May 7. Items were stolen from a shed.
* A white Peugeot parked in Railway Parade was broken into between 8.30pm on Saturday, May 10, and 8.15am on Sunday, May 11. A satellite navigation unit was stolen.
Thornlands
* A ute parked in Baythorn Drive was broken into between 6pm on Sunday, May 11, and 6.45am on Monday, May 12. Tools and a wallet were taken. The wallet was found in nearby bushland with cash removed.
Victoria Point
* Wallets were stolen from a Nissan X-Trail and a Holden Calais parked in a driveway at Kestrel Court between 6pm on Friday, May 9, and 7am on Saturday, May 10.
Wellington Point
* A letterbox was blown up in Rosella Street about 9pm on Wednesday, May 7.
* Buckets of flowers were stolen from Botanix Lifestyle Centre between 6pm on Friday, May 9, and 7.30am on Saturday, May 10.
