IT started with a little lollipop, but an obsession with Chupa Chups has seen Amie-Jane Jenkinson, 25, of Cleveland sucked to the big world of New York for two weeks work experience at the MTV office.

Amie-Jane won this opportunity via a national competition which asked entrants to buy any Chupa-Chups products and take a

picture of themselves incorporating them.

Amie-Jane’s winning entry included a photograph of herself with a face full of icecream and a cone full of Chupa Chups.

She won a sight-seeing tour, airfares and an appearance in a short clip featuring her New York experiences to be aired on MTV Australia.

For Amie-Jane, the opportunity to visit MTV in New York is ideal, given her interest in photography and presenting.

“Now I get this at MTV headquarters. I will get to work in marketing, presenting, sales – all the departments. It’s an experience to help enter the industry at different levels,” Amie-Jane said.

Amie-Jane has already worked as a presenter at Schoolies, Dreamworld and

studied acting in

Sydney.

“It also helps that I love Chupa Chups. The icecream flavours are my favourites,” she said.

Amie-Jane is being accompanied to New York by her partner Daniel Bali, also of Cleveland, a guitarist with local band Hey Love.
