A CLEVELAND man is in a stable condition in
hospital after being seriously injured in a motorcycle crash in Thorneside on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the 62-year-old had been riding a red Honda motorcycle east along Rickertt Road when he came into collision with a Toyota HiLux turning into the Freedom Fuels service station. He was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with a
broken leg and wrist.
The 27-year-old driver of the ute has been charged with drink-driving as he was on his provisional licence and allegedly had a blood alcohol level of .032.
P-platers are not allowed to drive with any alcohol in their system.
The Wynnum man is due to face Cleveland
Magistrates Court on August 21.
