AN off-duty police officer was charged with drink driving on Sunday after he was allegedly found in charge of a vehicle while over the legal blood alcohol limit.
The 57-year-old senior constable allegedly had a blood alcohol level of 0.098 when he was found sitting in the driver's seat of a private vehicle parked on Moreton Bay Road at Capalaba.
He was issued with a notice to appear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court on September 22.
The officer is stationed at Operations Support Command where he performs administrative duties.
An internal investigation will also be conducted by the Ethical Standards Command.
