Leigh selected for cricket program

24/07/2008 6:04:00 PM
PROMISING young cricketer Leigh Drennan has been invited to join the Queensland Youth Cricket Specialist Wicketkeeping Program.

The 18-year-old Wellington Point resident will attend training sessions at the Allan Border Field at Breakfast Creek once a week from July to September.

Leigh, who plays for South Brisbane Cricket Club, said the program would allow him to learn from experienced wicketkeepers and he wanted to get into good form for the upcoming season.

He also hoped to be selected in the under 19 Queensland cricket team.
